Melbourne Rebrand

I am currently in the process of developing my brand identity for Go Give. I’m also looking out for inspiration and things that I really like for the brand.

This rebrand for the city of Melbourne is great and I really like it. It addressed the issue that the city of Melbourne was involved in many different things and therefore had a mass of inconsistent logos for everything.

They solved this by making the “M” a visual marque and had multiple variations of the marque so they could use it for different things. I thought this idea was great and could even work for Go Give. Making a visual marque from the word ”Go” and using it for a number of different styles and variations, both on the app and the website.

It could also be used for branding on business cards and promotional flyers and such.

I just think it’s a really nice style and way of thinking about going from the image above and creating a totally unique but constant style at the same time.

I realise that the reason they were able to pull this off so well is really good brand guidelines. So this would be something I’d need to think about going forward and developing my brand.
